 Unfortunately, we were not able to film on Saturday, December 19, so we have scheduled it once again for Sunday, December 27th. Due to this circumstance though, we were able to make our storyboard more precise to conceptualize ideas better. We have begun mapping out the exact locations and areas in which we will film in the future as well. In addition, we were able to find music that we can use for the film because it is not copyrighted. When starting our project I knew how important music was for movies, especially horror movies to increase suspense. While we have found music that we could use, I do want to search further and see if there are any other possible tracks that would sound better and fit in with our movie. So if all goes to plan unlike the last time, we are hoping to have our film clips ready for editing on Sunday the 27th.

This coming week will be essential in the creation of our film. We are planning on filming on this coming Saturday, December 19. If all goes to plan, and we will film then, we will begin to work on editing our film. This week for I will be dedicating myself to becoming comfortable with using premier pro. I went over the basics earlier in the year, but now I will be going more in-depth and studying its many features. I have been importing various different types of videos into the program and watching numerous tutorials on how to use the program effectively. In addition, the week after winter break, a specialist in Premier Pro is said to come in for a couple days. This will be extremely helpful since by that  time our footage will be edited and if there are any professional improvements needed, we will have the opportunity to seek advice.

 For the past several days, my group and I have been working on our storyboard for our movie “The Trip”. At first, we didn’t realize just how much there was to storyboard and how important it was in creating a film-not to mention how long it takes to go through the process. “Storyboarding is flexible. It is comprehensive. And it allows a group to generate a lot of ideas. Its only major drawback is that it takes a lot of time.” This quote from James M. Higgins is the perfect example of what storyboarding is like. Storyboarding offered countless ideas and opportunities that I never even considered. Storyboarding helped the development of our concept by making our film seem more and more real and opening our eyes to the idea that soon we will be filming the shots we just drew and wrote down.
