1st Draft: The Trip

After many days of planning, filming, and editing, our first draft of our film production is completed. While we believe we still have things to improve upon, we are very proud of what we have created. The Trip

Production 5- Final Editing

Our film editing is going well. We have cut down on the length of the film exponentially, and we are working on finding the right filter effects for our film. Our goal is to make to look as though it is getting darker throughout the film, so we have to use specific filters to make it look realistic. We have plans to import effect bundles to find the perfect effect filter and apply it to our film. Also this coming weekend is our planned final day to get the last clips that we need. The week of January 18th is going to be consisting of the importing of audio and finishing of inserting text. After completing these final tasks, we will be finishing our final project. We are planned to be done with the whole project by January 20th by the latest.

Production 4- Editing

Editing has shown to be quite a struggle for us at school. Importing the videos from our phones to the school computers took a very long time. In addition using Premier Pro can be glitchy at times on the school computers. So we decided that we would do most of the editing at home since we have better equipped computers for the task. Though this also seemed to be a challenge since we all have after school activities such as sports and instruments, limiting the amount of time we have to work on it. In addition, we also had other homework and midterms to study for. Now we are starting to make more process since we have a complete outline of what needs to be edited. We will be done with our total project very shortly, and we are expecting it to come our very well.

Production 3- Successful Recordings and Editing Plans

We were finally able to film the clips that we needed over the winter break and it went extremely well. We spent a total of two different days filming. On the first day, we were able to total about 20 different shots, and on the second day, it was about the same. While there were a few shots that we weren't able to capture quickly, in the end, we succeeded. Now, we are editing our clips to fit how we desired them to be. On our first day of filming, we wanted it to be dark but when we recorded it, the video quality was terrible and grainy. So, on the second day, we filmed it in light. Because of this, we will have to use editing to make it seem darker otherwise it will have bad video quality. In addition, we will be adding text to certain parts of the film for credits.
